Creating videos from images with FFMPEG: effects, audio, ticker

VideoCreatorZP is a ZennoPoster template for creating video from images with various effects.

Template features:

• creating a video slideshow from images;
• automatic image processing for slideshow;
• ability to select video resolution - from 240p to HD
• scrolling ticker (change fonts, size, speed of movement, text color, text background color and its transparency)
• adding audio to a video (The duration of the output video is equal to the length of the slideshow);
• adding video to an audio (The duration of the output video is equal to the length of the audio track);
• random selection and ability to choose the number of pictures and their duration in the video;
• ability to set the order of pictures.

2. creator.zip - archive of the main directory with examples of source files and FFMPEG utility.

Structure of the main directory of the project:

c:\creator\_program\ffmpeg.exe	- FFmpeg command-line tools
c:\creator\_audio\	- folder for mp3 files
c:\creator\_fonts\	- folder for fonts for ticker generation
c:\creator\_ticker\ticker.txt	- ticker.txt - contains texts for the ticker
c:\creator\img\	- image folder for processing
c:\creator\video\	- folder for output videos

Short Guide:

• If you want to use the exact number of pictures - specify in the template settings for example 7-7.
• If the "Adding video to an audio" checkbox is enabled audio track will not be cropped. The duration of the output video is equal to the length of the audio track.
• "The order of the images" - when "Sort ascending" is selected the images will be sorted in increasing order.

Selection of effects and other actions:

• "Simple Slideshow" mode (simple slideshow with no transitions) - the fastest operation, but the ticker will not work.
• "Random Effect" mode is the best option. You can select filter to transition between images. Random effects selected in the settings. Scrolling text over video.
• "Zoom" filter - visually beautiful, but it takes a lot of time to generate video.
