Can someone explain how this is supposed to work?

Does this function take the proxies from proxy checker? Where is the benefit when I can set proxy in before template execution?

This action is for proxy checker. You can change proxy by rule or save current one.

Here you can set private proxy if you need.

Which rules will "Get proxy" use? The rules previously defined in the rules section from proxy checker?

Could you explain when I should use "Get proxy" instead of the settings in ZP?

You set proxy rules in Zennoposter (Rules tab).

Get proxy = proxies from proxychecker
Set proxy = private proxy from your hard drive via variable.

But one more question, what happens if I don't set "Get Proxies" in my template and use the settings in ZP instead, and vice versa?

So far I used proxies without this option.

You use Get proxy action only when you need to save current proxy for your future needs or if you want to change proxy on some step in your template.

This action is advanced. Not necessary.
