I am trying to create my first template and I have selected a vbulletien forum to extract and spin posts from. By following an online text extraction tutorial I was able to extract the postfields with relative ease. Delightful. :p
However, the next step of the tutorial requires me to specify what I will take from the HTML. There were 9 posts on the page that I had used for extraction and I would like to save all nine posts to a separate text file so that I might have 9 separate items to post in future. The options given to me are What to take: First, all, one match, and Match (#).
Is it possible to save each of the 9 posts seperately? And how?

You do not need to save posts in separate .txt to get them separate in future. Just save them all in one file and later you can take one line from that file :-)
Example save all posts from one thread in one file and add thread name as file name. In this case you will get all thread posts in one file and later you can take just one line from it if you need :-)

Both are brilliant ideas, but for me to figure this out quickly the list idea seems like the way to go. Oddly enough working out how to save these posts to alist is really not working for me. Any advise. Thaks for your help.

Too use Lists you should add one to your template. In lists's settings set path to file to save data to. Check "Save changes" and "Load from file" in list's settings.

Then back to your first post and choose ALL when you scrape data with regex and set List when you wanna save it.
