Optimizing ZP for 2008 r2

Seems like ZP doesnt like 2008 R2 as i have been reading some posts about win 7 being better.

I just built a new server and I am having connection issues with ZP and 2008 r2.

It seems that it wont even scrape proxies, and seems to fail alot. It seems this may be do to the strict IE settings. I tried to remove any connection blocks but no success. Anyone have some tips, or should i put win 7 back on?

Have you got .net 3.5 enabled in features?

I knew i was missing something that required IIS installed cause I always remember disabling part of it to disable port 80 to run captcha software.


edit..

just did and same issue happening. now im really confused.

I also have firewall disabled.

OK issue solved. In Proxy Checker under control. I had to check the proxy autosearch button before it would start to load sources for me. Once you set it up, you tend to forget the small detals once you have to set it up all over again.
