Save a .pdf file (actually its a php page)

I want to download a pdf on a page but when I click on the link it doesn't ask me to download it and display it on the web page instead. the link is not a http://www.mysite.com/file.pdf but its like that:
http://www.mysite.com/file.php

How can I do that ? I use Zennoposter 4.2.0.0

You should use up to date version...

I have done my template on 4.2.0.0 and not sure it'll work perfectly on another build
Anyway, I have no choice taking a new version ?
