Hi everyone!

ZennoBrowser 1.10.0 has been released.

In this update, we focused heavily on performance improvements, added cloud profiles, and implemented UDP proxy support.
This is quite a large release, so below we’ll go through everything in detail and explain how it works.

139518

Main changes

This version introduces cloud profile support.

Profiles created this way are automatically synchronized across all your devices within the same account.
Create a profile → it instantly becomes available on your other devices.

This is the first implementation, and the feature is available to all users.

For testing purposes, everyone gets 10 cloud profiles on all plans.
Purchasing additional profiles is not available yet.

Later, we’ll make a separate announcement and discuss with the community how this feature should evolve and be monetized.

Important notes

  • profile data is encrypted, only the owner has access
  • a profile can be opened on only one device at a time
  • if the profile is already running, you can force stop it from another device
  • force stopping may cause loss of the latest unsaved changes
  • you can convert local → cloud, but not cloud → local
  • all profiles created inside the cloud folder are treated as cloud profiles
This is just the beginning. Planned next: profile sharing between users, action logging, collaborative team work

UDP proxies

Added UDP support for SOCKS5 proxies.

Previously only TCP was supported. Now you can use UDP proxies for scenarios where it’s required.

Such proxies are marked separately with a UDP label.

Currently supported format:

socks5://login:password@192.168.0.1:8000

Additional formats will be added in upcoming versions.
If you use other formats, let us know which ones — we’ll prioritize them.

UDP support is enabled by default for everyone, but you can manage it in the new Proxy settings section.
Please note: if your proxies don’t support UDP, we can’t enable it on our side either

Launch arguments

When creating a profile, you can now use special launch flags (similar to chrome://flags) to fine-tune browser behavior.

Available during profile creation:
New profile → Advanced settings

Additional improvements

  • fixed a memory leak during long sessions
  • fixed launching profiles with custom screen resolutions
  • fixed preset display after mass assignment
  • blocked double-clicking the Start button right after launch
  • various UI improvements

You can update via:
Settings → Check for updates
