How Can I do This? (gotta be a way)

zenno_question.jpg

Is there any way I can have zenno start first run only with an initial counter value?

I'd like to start my template with a conditional based on a counter value.

Any way to do that?

In other words as shown this is showing error because it has no value at all, is there any way I could make it start with an initial value say 1 so I
could use it for logic upon startup and then reset if back to 1 from the template when I want?

Actually I was able to assign a counter value as a global variable in another template and then use it, it worked fine.
Is there another way I am not aware of?

Actually that seems to reset to that value with every completion of template.

I want the value set only once at first start of template.
