[SOLVED] 4.0.8.1 Bugger

Hi I downloaded the 4.0.8.0 release yesterday and didn't have a lot of time to test it yet. One unwelcome change
is the length of time it takes to load up the debugger now since it starts it's own process. It is pretty damn slow.

Anyways I downloaded the 4.0.8.1 to test today since other people had found bugs already in 4.0.8.0 and I wanted to
test the latest release to see how it ran (with my fingers crossed that the debugger loaded up faster). Problem is the debugger
doesn't work at all now! I click debug it starts going into debug mode but then get's stuck at the 'Start debugger' message.

It doesn't matter if I click stop debug the message stays stuck in the middle of my screen. The message also stays on top of
any other window I might have open e.g


To get rid of it I have to close out of PM completely. I have no idea how well this version works besides this because I can't even
run a simple debug anymore. Btw this problem is not unique to the template I am using because I have tested with several templates
including a simple test template I created in 4.0.8.0 yesterday.

Try to uninstall it, reboot PC, install again.

I had problems with 4.0.8.0 but this build 4.0.8.1 works like a charm in debug mode on my PC.

Yea, im experiencing the same problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, it didnt matter. For what its worth im on Win7 64Bit, and Windows Server 2008 (separate system).

Guys, uninstall ZP, delete all local files in it's folder, after that install new copy.

Russian users report it helps


I use revo uninstaller for this.
And had no problems with new build )

Yeah Rostonix I just ran my revo uninstaller on it, re-installed and it is now working. I thought at first that it wasn't loading again but
I gave it a bit of time and the window appeared. The debug window is definitely loading up faster in comparison to 4.0.8.0 too. More like
it was in 4.0.7.0.

If you can't run debugger, please uninstall the program, remove the folder of the ZennoPoster and install the software again.

If it still does not start let me know on email darkdiver@zennolab.com is there any debug.exe process in the running processes on your computer?

rostonix appreciated your quick reply i just figured out it is running but running dam slow waiting 30-50 secs on each step this is very slow

It should be slow for first time only.
The further run of debug have to be much faster

I can confirm that this fix has worked for me.

I installed 4.0.8.1 from 4.0.7 (uninstalled with revo as a precaution)
Debugger works
everything seems to be ok

Fix for this problem:

1. Manually Delete ZP folder
2. Set compatibility mode vista sp2 on installer
3. Run installer 4.0.8.1 with Admin permissions
4. Enjoy working debugger

Actually i have tried around 10 times (different methods) so far. For example if install in any other folder than "zennolab" the licence cannot be activated.

What antivir o you use?
Did you tried to disable it?

AVG, but first thing i have done is disabling the antivirus and a firewall. 4.0.7 works just fine.

What is the meaning of deleting the folder, since there is nothing in the folder.

The same thing using 4.0.8.2.

Does the debugger works correctly for everyone now?
