BEST EMAIL SERVICE to use? gmail? hotmail? yahoo? aol??

In your experience, which email company is best for setting up accounts, confirming, getting rid of spam filter, pop/imap, etc. and not getting account shut down and other site submissions accepted? Also, what would you guys consider to be "BEST PRACTICE" when creating accounts (obviously turning of spam filter, pop/imap, etc. what else?)

So far I've only been using zp for 2 days and starting to get the basics down, just need to make sure I don't waste my time creating useless templates.. all of your input is greatly appreciated.

Actually you SHOULD and you WILL make useless templates. The Best thing for your learning to make useful templates in future.

Here's Hotmail for you that works. Open it, and learn. I have it set up for DeCaptcher but that is easily changed. You will also need a proxy.txt file in the same directory as the USZips and template. If you need some help, hit me up on Skype.

i just wrote a huge response and nothing got posted.. great :/ anyways, thanks BigC, that'll be some interesting information to process (but do you use hotmail instead of other services for any particular reason? better success rates, etc?)

This may be a bit off topic but.. I set up my yahoo email creator and it works fine, but when I use my wordpress template to confirm the email, nothing happens. I get the following debug:

I don't know if its just me being stupid or if its yahoo. Yesterday it wouldn't even get to the "e-mail processing mail confirmation task been received." message and just not start the process, but now it does this although I haven't changed anything.. I went into my yahoo email account and no email was opened. my regex for email confirm is:

wordpress.com and https://signup\.wordpress\.com/activate/.*?(?=")

any ideas?

Try using the same regex for finding the confirmation link as the search for the email. If the email is there but email processing is not finding the email which is what the message says, there is a difference between wordpress.com and Wordpress.com

thanks BigC.. tried your tip but nothing works.. tried different regex which works when i do it manually, but does not work in any debug or project.. sounds like its a bug i guess http://zennolab.com/discussion/showthread.php?9713-Email-verification-problem

If it works in extended view and don't work in debug, create sample template to demonstrate it and send to support email. We'll examine your problem.
