I am using Zenno without any issue on Windows Server 2012. I don't know for sure, but I guess it will work on Win Server 2016, too.

Hi guys, thank you for sharing your experiences. Are you using it on Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2?

I'm currently running ZP on Windows Server 2008 R2 but considering to upgrade. Because I'm not a fan of Windows 8 and 8.1 (maybe there server versions Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 are better) I thought about to upgrade directly to Windows Server 2016 but I can't afford to get relevant problems running ZP after the upgrade.

I am using 2 licenses of Zenno: one is installed on Windows Server 2012 (not R2) and it's working perfectly
The second license is installed on a Windows 10 machine...it doesn't work very well. And that's not because of Zenno, it's because of the fact that Windows 10 has been developed for home use mainly and, especially after the recent updates, the machine is not so stable anymore. Will definitely return to Windows Server 2012 or even 2016 (I am sure Zenno works well with it, too).
I am planning to deploy a third Zenno machine and it will definitely run on a Windows Server version.

It's not about Zenno's compatibility with a specific version of Windows. I'm using Zenno since 2012 and I must say that it was fully compatible with all Windows versions I've had (7, 8, 10, Server 2012). It's about how stable a version of Windows stays on a machine that gets heavy workload 24 hrs/ day, 7 days/ week. The home use Windows editions are by far more unstable under non-stop heavy workload. Furthermore, they come with tons of bloatware, that you don't need on a Zenno machine and they are consuming tons of resources.

To anyone still being in doubt whether to use a consumer Windows edition (XP, 7,8,10) or to install a Windows Server version on a Zenno machine: choose the Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016) without any doubts. These versions of Windows have been developed for professional use and they are almost as stable as Linux (remember, I said "almost" :D )

PS: The only downside of a Windows Server version is that, sometimes, the drivers for different hardware are not available or are somehow hard to find. But, in the end, I managed to find all the drivers I needed.
