DisplacementInTabWindow and DisplacementInDocumentWindow

Can anyone explain the difference between DisplacementInTabWindow and DisplacementInDocumentWindow. A reallife example would be great.

DisplacementInDocumentWindow -Gets the displacement of the upper left corner relative to the parent document. This property displays the coordinates relative to the parent document. These coordinates are not always equal DisplacementInTabWindow.
DisplacementInTabWindow -Gets the displacement of the upper left corner relative to the tab's window.
