How would I check if a proxy works inside a template?

As the title already says, how would I check if a proxy is working inside a template?
Working in terms of of being able to connect, post etc.

You can set up a timeout before execution.
Set->web browser-> page loading timeout
So in this case bad proxy will be dropped from execution and turn to the next one.

and where exactly would I set that?

before going to the webpage, right after I set the proxy? or where exactly?
