Issue with WP site user names

I've ran into an issue when creating WP sites. I'm creating the WP install with a generic "admin" / "password" login user template. Then I have variables set that will change the nickname from "admin" to a common real name. The issue I'm currently having is setting Zenno up to interact with the "Display name publicly as" with the Drop down box (WP Dashboard->Users->Your Profile).

The drop down box shows the 'admin' (initial name). I can interact with the id=display_name okay, but I can't figure out how to select a name from the drop down options because it seems to be all mouse-over interaction.

Any ideas/help would be GREATLY appreciated!
