Not sure if you guys know, but you cant currently drag "If" branches, or Switchboards into an existing group. They can only be drug to the background. Also, I've noticed that you can only drag items from the menu to the left of an existing branch group, you cant drag from the menu to anything to the right of an existing branch group.

I've had the same issue with "IF" actions, can't drag across into the editor.
A quick work around is to click the "append to project", go to any site with text present, right click, and do a "create check of text presence". Then, stop record.
That appends a action group, with a "If" action back into the project, and I've had no problems repeatably copy pasting the action to build a template.

Its happening to my too. The only way I can get the "if" action inside the same group is when I import templates from old version.
Heh, but yea, I know for me not being able to group the the "If" branch is very annoying.I think I'm the only one who's comfortable with it
Upd. When I was typing iPad suggested me to write "only on Ewhore" instead of "only one who's"
