Question on sales and porxies in demo

Hi, I've just been trying out the demo version and made a little project but can't get the proxies to work, is this disabled?

I've tried using sources and a text file in the format 000.000.000.000:0000


If I buy the lite version for example is the buying of 6 month upgrades compulsory?
