recording not working

the videos sloppy but basically i can't get it to click where it says 'Write a reply...' with recording or with action designer.

Not sure what are you trying to do there.
Are you trying to click textarea ?

yes I am but it won't do it in action designer even though search criteria is set properly.

Maybe just use keystroke emulations to fill in your text into that area if you cant do what you are trying.

Why do you want to click textarea ? Text area is not for clicking for for SET - VALUE

If you want to activate textarea, try to use focus instead of click.
If that does not help then click emulation will help 100%
