Writing actions like " sausage" or in columns ?

What is the advantage of writing code /actions in columns? Ok, take less space, but space is free, when I notice some templates in columns, I get a little heart attack, all is messy and not transparent but what is any advantage to write code in columns?

there is no issue, I just saw some screenshot of a template, and saw it a lot in past, actually, always, actions are in columns, one next to the other, in the same row, and thinking what is an advantage of writing code on this way, is there some advantage, instead of "sausage" code for example:

I don't know
It depends on users, just how they prefer to view project diagram.

I see, it is obviously personal, horizontally is for me claustrophobic view, messy, "sausage" is clean more space, transparent, but ok, it is just internal.
