Should I be restarting zennoposter before each run?

I had a template that was pulling data from a file and I changed that file and re-saved the template. However when rerunning that same template I was getting errors because the old data was still in the list from file????
I even deleted the template from ZennoPoster and re-added the template AFTER saving the changes?

Do I need to:

1. change template or file being sent to list.
2. save changes.
3. delete template from Zennoposter
4. Restart Zennoposter
5. Add template once again.

Is that the only method?

Hello!

Build is 4.0.8.2?

I think only steps 3,4, and 5 will do it for you..
Thanks

@Drew - You should restart zennoposter because there is cache problem you can not update files. All your old information will come back. Developers are informed about that. ;)

I am using the newest version out :)

Yes I believe that is what it is, would be nice if we had a button to clear all variables cache etc on zennoposter. But no matter I LOVE DESIGNING on zennoposter, so much more graphically pleasing and I can group my thoughts together better.

yes,me 2.
I made a video on this issue, see:
http://youtu.be/0seVu3n4Muo

I used Table function to record my status of sign-in, and once tries to use files like csv, xls.
When using ZennoPoster, I found table function failed to update the real-time data in the files.
For example, when loading a xls file, the value in cell is "unregistered". After registration, I use Record cell to change "unregistered" into "successful registration".
When run the next time, the value read by ZennoPoster is still unregistered. Only by totally close ZennoPoster program, it is possible to read the new value.

Yes, devs know about cache.

They will start to examine this problem at the beginning of next week.

Thanks for your your feedback!

Yea, the Cache problems are effecting me too. I ran my Tumblr registration template in Debug mode to make sure it was working properly, it got through email, password, and username fields fine, but soon as I hit the start button it immediately navigated to the dashboard of Tumblr, logged into another account that I had already created! I've tested this with Squidoo and Posterous and now im seeing the exact same thing with those, hope this Cache stuff gets fixed very very soon.

hmmm... I dont have any troubles like that within my templates, only thing bothering me is that when i set poster for something, and wanna make changes, like for example on max number of threads in setting part...for that to work i need to restart poster.

Yea weird because Clint is experiencing similar issues as well with this whole Cache ordeal.

Make sure you have correct settings for cache and cookies cleaning.

Those were my exact settings :).

Well it doesn't bound with initial topic of this thread anyway, mate.

Never saw anything like this. You talking about not working Cookies cleaning action here.
Open another topic for this with more info please. Maybe with test project or screencast.
I had never seen anything like this in v4.
Have no idea how to reproduce :(

I can tell you how to reproduce it. Have a template delete lines from a file until it is empty. Then stop the template and fill in the text file again and restart template without closing the poster down and see that the poster still sees an empty file. Problem.

I talked about Kepperbes post, not about cache of ZP :)

Cache and cookies of site and cache of ZP are two different themes. My post was a suggestion to split them to different threads.

Was fixed in 4.1.0.0
Let us know if you will have any issues
