Guys I've been using ZP4 for just over a month now and know the program very well at this stage
but the more I learnt about the old macros the more I wanted to know what all the fuss was about.
After spending a good chunk of my day playing around them and using them in v4 in the variable
processing action there is no doubt in my mind that the macros should/need to be added to v4.

I don't understand why they were taken out in the first place? I have templates that could be halved in size
using the macros but instead I have to either use loads of extra actions to do the same thing or I will
have to open up v3 just to use the macro builder/tester in that.

v4 is already capable of processing macros so why not build on what you had in v3 and continue
to allow users to work with macros alongside the new variables system etc easily?

The lack of macros in ZP4 was a reason I gave up with ZP4 and went back to ZP3.6

I just got ZP4 and posted about this, are their no macro help? I don't know much about code and those saved me, I feel I can't even use this now and have to go back to ZP3

There will be another feature that will help users, who miss marco builder.
It's almost ready

But for know all that macroses did, can be done via actions on left panel.
Please, read our wiki: http://wiki.zennolab.com/doku.php?id=en:start

Especially unconvenient is lack of possibility to make nested macros, now results from actions need to be stored in the variable and than processed in another action even if data are processed only by one subsequent action. That would be very nice to have that ability back in ZP4.

+1 for old macroses back :)

+2 for old macros back. I dont know what they could have been thinking to get rid of them. Why not just build on what you got as OP says. 'If it aint broke dont fix it'.

any update on release date, don't give us soon bull

You're right I did, seems like 8 months without it.
