Can't close PM

I've run into this issue over the past 2 versions of the software. After I finish running a project in PM, I am not able to close the software... Tried on Windows 8 and Windows 7.

Only way is to close via killing the process in Task Manager.

Also, according to the version numbering I am seeing that we're in 5.9-ish area now. Any news regarding v.6?
