Can't record hootsuite connection to twitter. Please help?

I've been doing well until the part to add my twitter accounts in hootsuite. Each time I click connect to twitter it won't record. Is this a java thing or something? When doing this in a live browser clicking on the twitter connect opens a popup. Please Help?
