What is the easiest way of upgrading old projects from 5.8 to 7.3 ? Is it any way to omit manual changing each file?

From fast look I see varios operators like {-//-} not working, private proxy setting seems also being changed.

You have to open old templates with new zenno and it will ask You to convert.
That's the only way I know of.

I'm sorry you have to be more specific, But as I know everything should be working. As there is backward compatibility even from version 3. And in general, nothing is changed much, v7 has additional features, not other way around
If I were you I would debug any converted templates anyway.

The proxy format is the same, with no changes.
