why is this new Dns-over-proxy in Chrome browser config files setting only available by editing the config-file and why isn't it set to enabled by default? are there any downsides to it?

DNS over Proxy? So the C#-code in a cube "instance.SetBrowserPreference("network.proxy.socks_remote_dns", true);" I use with FF52x64 engine is not working using Chrome-egine?

Yes, this is for Firefox only.
Chrome is different browser, it works with arguments, not preferences.

Okay and what should I add to "dns-over-proxy - dns requests via proxy " in the "value"? "T/true", "F/false" or "1","0". Can't see that on you second link.

nothing, just type "-dns-over-proxy" in Arguments field and dns request will go via proxy.

If you work in Chrome engine you should set dns-over-proxy in arguments field.
If in Firefox, you should set values via preferences.
