Failed to connect to the e-mail server Authentication error on the IMAP server

Hi,

I try to receive emails on my project manager.
But I keep having this error:

I tried: GMAIL, GMX, outlook.com, live.fr, yahoo.com, proton.me ... etc always the same error.

I've wellEnabled IMAP and I could add my yahoo.com address to outlook on the same windows machin.

I don't know what to do more. Can you help please?

You should allow access from unsecure apps in mailbox settings.

Yes, not possible.
I guess there should be some email providers that allow it.

Don't they work via POP3 as well?

I managed to make it works with gmx imap, by enabled imap AND create an "Application-specific passwords"
