Is it possible to turn off all image downloads EXCEPT the captcha?

If you have a page with lots of images that you wish to turn off, but this page also contains the captcha image, is it possible to only let the captcha image load, and nothing else?

Just turn off images in the template settings. Captcha will be loaded.
If captcha is loaded with AJAX, well you should use set->web browser (download images: false) before captcha page
and set->web browser (download images: true) before form submit
