JS.PrepString What does it do and when do we need it.

I've made a Javascript that takes text input and mangles it into the way I want it. :p

However I notice there is a Macro called JS.PrepString

What does JS.PrepString do and when do we need it?

I guess it escapes certain characters sequences? If so which ones?

If you use JavaScript and need to pass some text to it. It can contains quotas and caret returns. This macros escapes them.
