Link variable not working

Hello, I try to put a link in a variable and 9/10 times the link works just fine, but that 1/10 times the link does not carry over to the variable and instead I just get the filepath of the file that the link is in : F:\MyLinks.txt

Any idea why that happens?

I got it fixed, probably should've mentioned that. The issue was me not binding the the variable to the file, for some reason that created the issue. Thanks for replying
