PC to recommend with Zenno

Hi,

I am having a lot of problems with my quad core and 5 bots running, it uses up to 75% of my pc power.
Intel core 2 extreme 2 x9650, i checked the benchmark and it is pretty low or nowadays works.

Would you recommend a laptop around 600 dollars9or desktop) that could handle Zenno fairly well, please?

Maybe you should better upgrade your RAM?

In any case, would not recommend you laptop, desktop is better... with Intel Core i7 and quite new Nvidia card.

I run over 50 threads in ZP

I have Windows, intel core i7, Nvidia GTX 780M, 32GB RAM, 3.5 GHZ and can only run 10 threads.
Sometimes not even 10. More than that my CPU hits 100% and computer overheats.

Either You are renting VPS and seller lies to You how much resources they are giving to You.
Or there is something very very wrong with all this.

Nope, it's my own computer I bought. Any tips how to optimize Zenno or computer to run better?

But You definitely have to think about what is problem, because its really WOW if You can run 10 threads on this configuration

I even paid $500 USD/month for a very powerful server in USA (and hired some people to help look into its settings) but could only run 6-8 simple threads on that.

Thanks, I've read that article already. No idea how some people manage to run more threads.

Anything, even the simplest projects. Of course, bigger ones can run less threads. Like a Twitter poster could not even run 6 threads.
With a very simple scraper I was able to run 12 threads (with almost 100% CPU usage, unable to use PC for anything else, and often crashes).

Nop that's not possible.
Can You run some project then get high load and then make Diagnostic report and send to support@zennolab.com with link to this thread.

Sure, gladly! Would love any advice how to run more threads.

I'm not running any projects right now but will next week. So I'll send a report next week when I'm running projects again.

One of the machines on which I run Zenno templates is an old PC (i5 @ 3.5 Ghz, 12GB Ram and an ancient video board...something like 256 Mb Radeon blabla) Even this machine can handle 20 threads on complex projects or 50 threads on simple ones with javascript turned off (the kind of project in which the bot goes to a page, checks something, grabs another thing, puts it in a list, saves profile)

You really need to investigate this with support because you're either doing something very wrong in your bots, or your machine has a serious problem.
By the way, what version of Zenno are you using? And have you changed something in Zennoposter>Settings>Execution/ Instance...or the values you have there are on default (I always leave them on default)?

Well, keep in mind: you can (and need) optimize code to use low machine resources, like don't use css, open and close tabs frequently, resstarting instance after long time execution, etc.
Take a special look in projects who run for a long time and use a lot of system memmory, firefox 45 or 52 will start a slow navigation after certain amount of memmory, for these cases consider use firefox x64 (and have a lot of memmory to be taken for process).
