Put to variable

When referring to a proxy list, and within the action properties, at the bottom it asks:

Put to variable

I have created a list called proxy. Does this refer to the list I created called "proxy" or just a random name?

There is no explanation in the video that is provided in the wiki

You can put into variable some value, for example, line from list with proxy address and use it in other operations in your project.
