Removing *some* images from a webpage, but leave the captcha?

If my registration page is very image heavy and takes like 1 MB to download all the images, removing images isnt an option because the captcha is on the same page. Is there anyway to just leave the captcha and disable all other images?

Usually, downloading pictures off does not affect the captcha

As step85 told you captcha has to be loaded fine with disabled images, but sometimes with AJAX pages captcha can't be not loaded than you can disable images in whole template and turn on downloading before captcha page using set-web browser branch.
