Guys, I’m having the following problem. I need to access a website, but it has a lot of Google ads and other ads, and the site is quite heavy. I’m using a proxy, but it freezes and stays stuck forever without doing anything on the site, as if it gets stuck on a function and never moves past it.
I checked and noticed some Google Vignette ads, those Google banner/interstitial ads. I created a function to close these ads, and I also created a function to block the ads on the page. However, apparently it’s not just the ads themselves that are blocking a specific function, and I can’t figure out which function is causing the freeze.
The strange thing is that everything works perfectly fine in ZennoPoster, 100% normally. The problem only happens in the Runner. It doesn’t even throw an error, so I have no way of knowing exactly where the problem is.
What can I do in cases like this when ads are causing the website to load indefinitely? Is there any way to identify which function or script is getting stuck because of the ads?
I also tried using the browser’s Busy function to continue even though the page was still loading, but it didn’t help.
This doesn’t happen only when using a proxy — it also happens on my normal internet connection, so changing the proxy won’t solve the problem.
Can anyone give me some advice or point me in the right direction? What should I try in situations like this with websites that have a lot of ads and keep loading forever?
Thanks!
