special characters not recognized

Hi;
Just another quick question;
i have a list of polish names, which generally uses polish diacritic characters, as ą,ć,ę,ó,ł,ń,ż,ź. List is located in excel file;
now when i run project in ZPall accounts are being made for �ukasz, or And�elika, which of course is not the way it should be
is there a way to bypass the � with polish characters, so i dont have to make accounts with english letters only?
